I had used the Folio Views app. I was amazed that I could look up a scripture faster than anyone else in the class :-) Now days I use ScripturesApp.com on my iPhone. Even my friends with Blackberries like it. I was happy to get an email from Chuck Phillips saying he is developing it into an iPhone app! Seriously though, I think it's important to be reverent and agree with you that you should focus on the spiitual experience while at church. And don't distract others.

Re: The Rise of the Twittering Church-Goers

That's awesome! You were way ahead of your time, that's for sure.

Re: The Rise of the Twittering Church-Goers

It may have been earlier than 8th grade, but it couldn't have been too many years before that. I'm in my early 20s now, but that's still young, isn't it? It looked a lot like this:

http://images.barnesandnobl...

Re: The Rise of the Twittering Church-Goers

Jon, you must be young! I didn't even own a computer at that age! ;-)
Thanks for sharing.

Re: The Rise of the Twittering Church-Goers

Wow, great post! Thanks for covering this. I still remember when I was in elementary school (probably grade 8), I brought an electronic Bible to church instead of a hard copy, and an elder in the church asked me to leave my toy at home. My explanation of what it was went completely over his head.
