  • the olympics are part of an advertising campaign, nbc is an advertising company. they will do what it takes to make money. if buyers want them to do internet, they will. if not, not. it is not about what is right or what is possible. it is not public service.
  • Gregory, that's the thing though - I think the buyers do want it live.
    That's why many are going over to CBC, etc. NBC is missing out on an
    opportunity here.
  • agree. and i want fewer commercials, and fewer analysts. (good luck) but i haven't a clue what middle america wants, the guys who buy the products they are advertising
  • Seriously, this is getting ridiculous. Do you really, really care that the Olympics isn't on live? Is it that important? I like watching the Olympics as well, but I don't give a crap if it's a little delayed, just watch it when it comes on and enjoy it. As far as live updates via twitter, you've got to be joking... the number of people wanting the news that bad is almost insignificant.

    Let me think bout it.... would I prefer to get a tweet saying so and so won gold in something... or wait a little while and watch it myself and actually enjoy it.
